OTHER COSMETIC PROCEDURES

DOUBLE CHIN TREATMENT

A double chin is a cosmetic concern for many individuals. It occurs when a layer of fat accumulates beneath the chin, resulting in the appearance of a second chin. While having a double chin is not necessarily harmful to one’s health, it can be a source of self-consciousness. Fortunately, there are devices to help reduce the appearance of a double chin without resorting to surgery.

In-office non-surgical treatments to reduce excess submental (beneath the chin) fat include Kybella and laser treatments, such as HIFU, Doublo Gold.

EYEBROW/EYELID LIFT

There are now more options than ever when it comes to creating the appearance of an eyebrow or eyelid lift. While there are still surgical options available, nonsurgical treatment, also known as nonsurgical blepharoplasty, is also on the rise.

These types of nonsurgical brow lifts may come in the form of injections, such as Botox, laser treatments, and ultherapy.

MILIA REMOVAL

Milia are tiny white or yellowish bumps (pimples or cysts) on your eyelids, nose, or cheeks. They are harmless and painless and usually disappear on their own after a few weeks.

Picking at the skin around the milia can lead to scarring or an infection. A dermatologist can remove milia with the following methods: manual extraction and other laser treatments.

SKIN TAG REMOVAL

Skin tags are growths that hang from your skin. They range from 1mm to 1cm and are made of collagen (a type of protein) and blood vessels surrounded by skin. They usually grow in the folds of the skin, where skin rubs together, such as, armpits, groin, anus, thighs, eyelids, neck or under the breasts.

Skin tags can be removed by freezing them with liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy, cutting them off with surgical scissors or a scalpel (excision), and burning them with electrical energy (hyfrecation).
